There is nothing quite as spectacular as a Broadway show. From Hell’s Kitchen to Stereophonic, there were many memorable musicals and plays to hit the New York City Theater District during the 2023-2024 season. Each year, the Tony Awards® honor these works of art, and the artists who make them happen.

The 77th Tony Awards®, honoring the best of Broadway's best, are set to be held Sunday, June 16, 2024, at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. The ceremony is set to air live at 8 PM, ET/5 PM, PT, on CBS, and stream live on Paramount+ with the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME® plan. The show will also be available to stream on demand, on the day after the special airs, on Paramount+, with either the Paramount+ with SHOWTIME® plan, or the Paramount+ Essential plan.

Academy Award® winner and Tony Award® nominee Ariana DeBose returns as host for the third time. Daniel Radcliffe, Eddie Redmayne, Leslie Odom, Jr., Liev Schreiber, Jeremy Strong, Jessica Lange, Rachel McAdams, Sarah Paulson, Jim Parson, and Amy Ryan are among the nominated stars.

The Antoinette Perry “Tony” Awards®, founded by the American Theatre Wing in 1947, are bestowed annually on theater professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway.

The Tony® is one of the most coveted awards in the entertainment industry, and the annual telecast – the night America watches Broadway – is considered one of the most prestigious programs on television. The Tony Awards® have aired on CBS since 1978.

The American Theatre Wing’s Tony Awards are presented by the Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.

Who will host the Tony Awards®?

Academy Award® winner and Tony Award® nominee Ariana DeBose will host the 77th Tony Awards®. It will be her third stint as Tony Awards® host. She previously hosted the 75th Annual Tony Awards® and the 76th Annual Tony Awards®.

At this year's show, DeBose will also serve as a producer. She'll choreograph the opening number, too.

“I couldn’t pass up the chance to host the Tonys® one more time at Lincoln Center. I’m excited to collaborate with the team to create an incredible celebration of this season’s achievements on Broadway for our community and for everyone at home,” said DeBose.

DeBose is best known for her big-screen performance as Anita in Steven Spielberg’s 2021 reimagining of West Side Story, for which she received multiple honors, including an Academy Award®.

On stage, DeBose is best known for her role as Disco Donna in Summer: The Donna Summer Musical, which earned her a 2018 Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical. In 2015, DeBose appeared in the groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning musical “Hamilton” as a member of the original cast in both the Broadway and off-Broadway productions, as well as the Emmy Award-winning film version.

Her TV credits, meanwhile, include a guest appearance on the CBS Original drama series Blue Bloods.
